...to twelve of these little vessels which are about to be boxed up and sent off to the Janet Bell Gallery in Beaumaris. Of course it's always lovely when you make a sale but the house looks really bare now they are not cluttering up the shelves and windowsills! Still, with strong winds forecast, there should be more wood washed up on the beach soon and I can start building up a new collection!
Beautiful boats as always and what a great title for a post. Very fitting. Would love to see a picture of you collecting the wood and what it looks like before the transformation.
ReplyDeleteI was thinking about doing that earlier - great minds think alike! BTW, I think there's going to be another Christmas Fayre in Ashburton - fancy it? (A stall I mean?)
ReplyDeleteOh yes I do,so much. But I think we may be moving in three weeks time. Fingers and everything else crossed. And I think that unpacking nine months of shoved in boxes and forgotton about stuff may take up a lot of my time. So maybe next year when I am a bit more organised. Although I seriously doubt that will ever happen! When is the Christmas fayre? Would be a fantastic excuse to come down. x
ReplyDeleteDon't know the exact date yet, would be great to see you there, if I can't make Donna's open day! Hope all goes well with the move, I'm sure you'll be posting about it! xx
ReplyDeleteHi Kirsty, I love your array of creations and particularly your range of cushions...a pleasure to visit your blog! I'd love to know what you think about mine (I'm a brand new blogger!!) - http://aliceandcharlotte.blogspot.com/
ReplyDeleteAlice :)
these boats are beautiful, I love their worn look, and the fact that its a 'real' worn look rather than you working it like that!
ReplyDeleteI just gave you an award, hop on over to my blog to pick it up...
Oh they are gorgeous Kirsty! Its a hard one isn't it-sending your babies out into the world.I'm sure they will sail away to new homes straight away and you can make some more to clutter up the shelves : )
