Handmade cards

I was a naughty girl yesterday! Despite having outstanding orders, I fancied making a couple of new children's cards - and once I started, I couldn't stop! I showed them on my Facebook page, and an interesting discussion ensued: the old dilemma about how much to charge! Always a tricky one... and I'm not going to get into it again here! No-one will ever get rich making cards! BUT, let's just say I had a fabulous day, it was fun to create some new designs and use some scraps from my ever-growing fabric collection!
Most of these have been snapped up already, but I've put a framed a few and popped them in my Folksy shop. Which one is your favourite?

  11. Very difficult to decide but the two foxes immediately caught my attention. The red one for the eyes and the other for the pattern. Brilliant creations. xx

  15. I liked the fact that you made these instead of filling orders. Sometimes you just have to go with what inspires you. Never can be sure it will come with such energy again if delayed. Also glad to know it was a treat for you. (Can't be doing stuff willy nilly all the time, with orders watching from the corner)

  16. The lion and the peacock are my faves, but they are all fab Kirsty! I didn't see the price discussion on fb, but I can bet my life, people were saying to charge less than what they are worth! The thing is, if I were to buy or recieve a card like this, I am not just buying a normal card, I am buying a piece of art. I would definitely frame them after they have been enjoyed as a card. They are just gorgeous... just remember not to undersell yourself!! xx
