I have had a lot of fun this weekend, creating a special order of a driftwood ice-cream van!
The customer wanted it to be pink, and though it's a colour I don't find a lot of on the beach, I had a piece that was just big enough to go round!
I kept the shape fairly primitive, and added the ends of vintage cotton spools as wheels
I added a little bit of bunting for colour at the back...
...and just an impression of a sign hanging from a tack on the side!
A complete stranger called Keith made my day on Wednesday, when a package containing a whole load of manifold nuts arrived at my door. I had mentioned on my Facebook page that I was after some - a friend of mine shared my plea, and lo and behold.....! What a kind and generous man: he wouldn't even let me reimburse him for postage!
So, I was able to make some more lighthouses! (Just in case you were wondering what I wanted old car parts for!)
And finally, in other news....eeeeeeeeekkkkk!
We are in Ideal Home magazine this month!!
The photos were taken almost a year ago....
....but finally they are in!
By the way, my house has only ever been this tidy once!
So lovely to see the whole family in print. One to treasure, I think!
