Thank you to all of you who left comments and encouraged me to make a seahorse family! For those new visitors (hello!) or anyone that missed the previous post, each creature has a little ribbon hook on the back, so that they can be hung on the wall...

...in any pattern you fancy! I'm quite pleased with them - my favourite baby is this little fella...

I like the understated colour and sparkly 'fin' (if that's what it's called!)
My son owns a book by
Douglas Florian which contains some lovely funny poems - I thought I would leave you with one of them:
The Sea HorseYou haveNo hooves. You have no hair. You don't eat oats. You don't breathe air.You hatch from eggs. You cannot race.(You have no legs with which to chase.)You're not a coltNor mareNor filly. You're called a horse.I call that silly.Happy weekend folks!
Lovely poem!
ReplyDeleteThey are lovely - simple and stylish!
ReplyDeleteI love your Seahorse family they are one of my favourite of your designs, especially the green one - super cute!
ReplyDeleteI love the muted colours of the fabrics.
ReplyDeleteHehehe, love the silly poem. And your seahorses. xx
ReplyDeleteThese seahorses put a smile on my face. I'm pretty new here and I haven't had a chance to poke around your site. But I was wondering if you've thought (if not already done) starfish? I got a lovely little one skein luxury yarn knitting project book with the most amazing starfish project. Now, looking at these cloth creations, I think starfish could be fun!
ReplyDeleteLovely family! You have been busy. What about pirate seahorses with patches etc.
ReplyDeletethey are gorgeous, they'd look lovely in a bathroom too, if you're not ready for a nursery yet! ;) I finally got round to passing on your award, thank you again! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comments, guys. Jane, I have thought about starfish, I am planning an sealife mobile in which a starfish should feature. And Rebecca, my nursery days are well and truly over (the old man's soldiers are no longer marching, if you know what I mean!)
ReplyDeleteI think the biggest one is my fave -- love the poem, very funny.
ReplyDeleteLove the poem! The seahorses are beautiful :)

Yay glad you decided to make the babies. Their little horns are cute! Funny poem at the end :)
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful my dear, as always. It's getting really confusing for me, sigh! Such hardship I know. I have NO idea which One I would pick now.
