Upcycled pallet chair

I came home after visiting my parents at the weekend to find Steve looking pretty pleased with himself after making this rather cool garden chair!

Made from a pallet he 'acquired', he'd got the design from here, where you'll find other clever uses for the humble crate. I rather like this little chair - a couple of child-size ones would be nice!

By the way, these cushion covers (apart from needing a bit of an iron!) are really old - some of my first attempts at sewing: the blue and white one is made from an old linen tea-towel and the red and white one is made from part of a roller towel.
I do like a bit of recycling, don't you?

  2. Its a great chair - a definite talking point. Someone is very clever. If I came back to that sort of thing, I'd know I was in the wrong house! Each to his own...

  3. Love that chair, I think I will just have to make one from my pallet, which is earmarked for something else - oh I don't know now......

  10. Recycling is great! Our raised veg beds are made of timber that was washed up on the beach after a container ship lost its load.

  14. I think that that chair is wonderful, I really love it, and yes I do love a spot of recycling! I have been known to use the odd tea towel too! , I have a blind in the kitchen made from tea towels, and I made some chair cushions from some too! Thanks for visiting! Have a lovely weekend! 16. I think Steve deserves a pat on the back for that one - I daren't show my hub or he'll want a go and we'll end up with bits of wood all over the yard !!

  19. I have a red pallet which I have been trying to get made into a chair just like yours for ages, however the 16 year old teenangel isn't so keen!
