Polperro Collage

I vowed this year that I would get my own website up and running: I think it will look more professional when giving out details, rather than the address for my shop on Folksy or NotOnTheHighStreet.
One thing I envisage having on my site is a gallery, in the hope that I might gain some commission work. I have done this latest piece for that purpose: so that I can put it in the gallery section along with others such as these here and here.

You may recognise the place - it's Polperro harbour. Very popular with tourists and not far from where we live!

I love doing these every now and then...quite therapeutic actually!

Plus it's a good way of getting rid of at least some of my magazines!

There is a degree of artistic license involved - I don't want to get caught up in fussy, complicated parts!
I'm going to get it mounted and framed (and will show another photo then) and I expect it will find it's way into my Folksy shop or do the rounds with me at various shows until someone wants it!
Have a good week folks!

Your little birdie arrived at the weekend- it's gorgeous. Thank you so so much.

I use a really good build-your-own website thing to sell my jewellery. It is specifically done with artists and jewllers in mind. If you haven't started doing your website yet it might be worth having a look.

Have a great week Missus, Ax

  11. Your collages are amazing! I love harbour scenes. Good luck with the website and gallery, although I know you won't need it with your talent x

It's really easy to buy your own .co.uk domain; mine only cost about £17 for two years (I use 123-reg.co.uk). If you don't have any web design experience, you can always direct your domain straight to your blog.

P.s. Do you wish to book a table at the Homespun Fair on Easter Monday? Just email me if you do as we are taking bookings at the moment. It would be great if you brought some of those collages framed. I think you'll wow everyone.

  20. I do like your collages. Some of them remind me a little of Mike Bernard's work which I love. I like to use newsprint and suchlike in some of my work - it can be so effective.
